Exploring the creative process in 3 dimensions

Paintings normally require canvas, paint and a brush... I have always enjoyed experimenting with different textures and techniques but lately I have felt the urge to step out of the mould... and explore the world of three dimensions.

Most people are familiar with amazing bronze sculptures of South African greats like Theo McGaw or Guy du Toit or the awe inspiring concrete monoliths created by Henry Moore, perhaps even stunning ice sculptures.

The art of sculpture seems to inspire people to explore new and interesting mediums with which to create their masterpieces.

Many talented artists have put this into practice in amazing ways and it has always been my dream to explore this form of creative expression.

I look forward to sharing the results in the gallery in Wilderness and online. Watch this space...
